What happens when I set up a direct debit?
When you set up a direct debit, you are in control. Our provider, GoCardless will set up a direct debit mandate on your bank account. It can take a few working days for your first payment to be processed. You’ll then be charged every month, on or around the same date each month. This can vary slightly if your usual payment date falls on a weekend or bank holiday. The mandate is recurring on a monthly basis until you choose to cancel.

Can I change the payment date?
Set up your direct debit close to the date you want your donation to be processed. We can change future payment dates but only after your mandate has been set up. Please email us at least 10 working days before your next payment is due so we can make cancel your next payment and set a new date.

Can I change my donation amount?
Yes! Please email us and we can process this for you. We’ll need to verify your details before we can process any change. Alternatively you can cancel your current direct debit through your bank and set up a new mandate at a different amount.

Can I cancel my direct debit?
Yes! You are in control with direct debits and you can cancel the mandate at any time by emailing us or cancelling your direct debit through your bank. Please note that direct debits start to be processed a few working days before the payment date and the payment may still be taken if you cancel very close to the due date. If this happens and you require a refund, please email us.
